The 15th edition of the Night of Museums
Categories : Exhibitions and Museums, published on : 4/15/19
The emotions experienced when visiting a museum do not arise solely from the collections on display. This is what makes the Night of Museums so special as these fascinating places open their doors well into the evening to reveal hitherto unsuspected facets. In Paris, more than 80 museums participate in this event and it’s a great opportunity to learn their secrets. Remember to book your room at the Hotel Les Plumes, in the heart of Paris, to make the most of the occasion!
The Night of Museums in a few words
For the night of May 18th to 19th this year, from sunset to one in the morning, the capital’s museums host events, concerts, ballets, performances, installations, guided tours and more to create encounters with their collections that are unusual and inspiring. Playful, magical, offbeat, they offer a completely new approach to art, history and culture.
The night’s schedule is up to you
Naturally, on the Night of the Museums programme you will find all the great Parisian museums such as the Louvre, the Orsay and the Quai Branly, each of which will once again this year offer a wealth of entertaining events and thematic visits. Or you might prefer the Palais de la Découverte, where the world of science is in the spotlight; the Musée du Barreau de Paris, where you’ll be captivated by the story of major law trials that made headlines; or the Musée en Herbe, an art museum for children that will be offering various workshops and treasure hunts. Check out the programme online or ask the Hotel Les Plumes team!
The Night of Museums is designed for both museum enthusiasts and those who would not usually think to step inside one. All will be thrilled by the surprises that the Parisian museums are preparing. Come and rediscover the wonder!
